I wonder if it perhaps was an off-day for the proprietors as my experience at Hanoi Village was really less than satisfying.

The place is basic, which is not a bad thing. Definitely appeared to be family run, also again, not a bad thing.

What was really under-whelming to me was the food. The beef pho had some flavour in it. But somehow, it was just lacking. The noodles seemed to be overcooked as it was rather mushy. A response to a previous review indicated that they use fresh noodles. But surely it doesn't mean soggy mushy noodles?

Partner had the lemongrass chicken on noodle. That was also just alright.

Overall, quite disappointed with the food. Probably won't go back. I didn't think you really get value for money at this place either. Ended the night with a pizza slice and garlic knots from Sal's.

had the pho hanoi for lunch today at hanoi village. SUper cheap and super tasty - I love Hanoi Village already!

Thank you for visiting Hanoi Village. Pho is one of our specialties. To keep the originality of Hanoi pho's taste, we are the only one in town to use fresh (not dried) rice noodle to make Pho. - Report

Love Hanoi Village - fantastic new vietnamese restaurant in downtown Auckland. With Cafe Hanoi and now Hanoi Village, fans of vietnamese cuisine are in for a treat.
