Gengys Khan Mongolian Barbeque Buffet Information

Find Gengis Khan, Waitakere, Auckland, the idea of this restaurant is very good. You choose all you ingredients and they cook it on a hot plate for you while you wait. Then enjoy hot cakes and ice cream for dessert.
It's a good place for a different dining experience.

It was a good experience for the money we paid. Self service. Quality of meats was OK. Ambience was not great though. Food was OK.

I booked a party at the New Lynn Gengis Khan Restaurant for my partner's 21st dinner. I invited his closest friends and family after looking into details such as price, location and concept. I thought the concept of having to choose your food and having it cooked by two chefs in front of you was very exciting and innovative.

Now in terms of customer service. I work at a place that deals with 'thousands' of customers every day so i know it is very important to maintain a positive and helpful environment in order to keep your customers happy and to keep numbers growing. One problem i had was one of my guests lined up, handed her ingredients to the chef, waited and found out later the chef had given her food to someone else so she had to go through the process of choosing her food again. You really need to improve in this area perhaps giving out an order number. Also, when it came to the birthday cake i brought in, i was refused help from the staff!! Even asking for a match to light the candle and a knife to cut the cake was a difficult task due to the supervisor speaking in "his native" language to his staff to leave me to do it on my own. We use english in this country!! I seem to have wasted my breath on asking in the first place.

Now, it is very rude to speak in your native tongue in front of customers. It makes us question what you are really saying about us and really downgrades your proffessionalism. Also from personal experience, going the extra mile for customers really makes a difference but you really didnt do that either.

I suggest your company should really sit down and think of ways to improve on performance if you want to maintain a positive reputation. I do not intend on visiting your branch again.

Really enjoyed our meal here, great value and an interesting environment where you choose the meat and veges and sauces you like - they cook it up right in front of you. Lovely flavours, fresh food and a great meal. Will return in the near future.

Awesome food!I go to this place alot and the atmosphere is great. Food is always fresh and cooked right in front of you and the dessert is the best - simple but still does the trick! You can also ask for the chef's to make you a mickey mouse pancake :D I love this place!

Very good restaurant. Go as much as you want, pick your own meats, veges, sauces and oil. Great selection of sauces and oil combos on offer as well. Food is well cooked and in a timely manner.
