I just went to the Food Embassy today morning with a friend and enjoyed my breakfast favourite eggs benni, together with some freshly baked croissant and seriously great coffee that was served fast.
The home made cakes and muffins didn't look bad either and I'm sure we'll be back for more next time. I was surprised at the specials which looked very creative and unique to me. I was too full to try, but was seriously tempted by the Jerusalem Artichoke soup - something I haven't seen in many other places. If we had stayed for lunch I would have probably missed some cheaper items in the selection, i.e. some sandwiches, baguettes or so.
The Food Embassy itself was well heated and warm, with lots of light and friendly staff. The owner came personally to the table and asked if everything was fine. That's great service. There were also plenty of newspapers and a variety of magazines that made our time there most enjoyable. Next time on Waiheke, we'll definitely be back.

I made a couple of visits to the Food Embassy over the last few days. The coffee is really good and strong and the service excellent. Not much counter food to choose from, but the eggs benedict was delicious. Nice modern space with lots of room, papers to read while you relax. I'll certainly visit Food Embassy on my next trip to Waiheke.

Great coffee and exceptionally friendly folk - only down side was the lack of deli food (or menu). All the same, if you like your Allpress coffee (done well), the food embassy in Waiheke is certainly recommended. The Food embassy also has a text a coffee promo if you're in a rush.
