At Federal & Wolfe you don't really feel like you're in the middle of downtown Auckland. The vibe is laidback and the decor funky. The coffee was good and strong and the savoury muffin delicious. Great to know a cafe that serves good food and coffee if you're on that side of town.

Had a business meeting over lunch at federal & wolfe today after reading the reviews on your site. Please to see that for the most part you guys were on the mark.
Service wasn't quite up there but food and more importantly the coffee was spot on. Good to know there's a spot like federal & wolfe so close to my clients!

Love this place, go everyday, is the only place that does coffee in this area that is worth drinking. Staff are great and friendly including "THE waiter" he is not offhand just professional and efficient - this place does get pretty packed, deservedly so.

As someone who can't and doesn't live on bread and pies it is refreshing to go into a place with tasty, fresh and healthy food - especially love the cabinet salads that range from lentils, to quinoa and a particularly excellent broccoli salad. Unlike many places that are just going through the motions, I think the chefs here actually taste their food so that it not only looks pretty but actually has some flavour. There so many cafes in the CBD that have cabinets full of beige stodge and it is not uncommon for me to walk in and straight out of places because there is not a single item in their cabinets that I am able to eat.

Keep it up guys.

So disappointed.

I was really looking forward to lunch at this stylish new joint! But the service was dismissive, the food average at best... and it wasn't even what we ordered! We asked for risotto and got bruschetta, but with the attitude from the waiter, couldn't be bothered sending it back. It seems like you are going for a hip vibe, but service makes the experience.

Also for an $18.50 chicken salad, there could have been a little more chicken and less chicken skin.

Sorry guys, but this really wasn't what I had hoped for.
