Just had lunch and drinks at Deep Creek as a friend was visiting from overseas. The set-up was great for catching up with people. Sheltered tables out the back on the beach side, seats if you need them but also enough room to move around and chat. I shared a Surf & Turf platter with my husband and it was plenty for lunch and went well with the cold beers. Kids also had some chips and they do a nice sundae which kept the littlier ones happy. A real asset to Browns Bay.
The hubby and I visited deep creek for the first time last weekend and had a wonderful experience.
We had intended to go to Ben gusto but that was chockablock so deep creek it was.
The coffee was good ( we were both worse for wear after a big night sat) and the food both terrific and plentiful- exactly what we needed. We shared the surf and turf platter and some chips- the chips probably not necessary given we could hardly finish the platter.
Deep Creek is a terrific find- certainly good reason to head into browns bay.
I had the Thai Green Chicken and Prawn Curry, a little hesitant at first, as I have never had Thai Green curry before. I was very pleased with my choice though. The curry had just the right spices, and plenty of chicken with it. When the dish first came, I thought it was quite small, but once I divided the rice out, it was more than enough food!
Just returned from the Deep Creek Brewing Co for a team farewell lunch and honestly, can hardly move.
My eyes may have been bigger than my stomach and I went for the Surf and Turf paddle - ribs, calamari, prawns and bacon-wrapped medallions - now that's a way to send someone off.
I washed that down with the Dusty Gringo - one of their own beers - and are finding it hard not to have a snooze this arvo.
The wed rib nights at the Deep Creek Brewing Co are apparently one of Browns Bays main attractions - a reason to pack my elastic pants I think!!
We like the decor, the position with sea and people out the back and the beer/wine selection at the Deep Creek Brewing Co.
Price is reasonable for what you're getting and the food good for the couple of things we've had.
Not keen on the band that plays too loudly inside- o.k for late at night but not for afternoon, early evening. We've seen lots of people move or leave when the band starts and with their other attributes a band is unnecessary.
Service is variable from unbelievably bad with half a dozen staff talking or doing odd jobs around the bar and one serving a queue of people (hello, wake up) to outstanding in recent times with some great, obviously properly trained, staff who are happy to table serve if the bar isn't busy.
We're at Deep Creek Brewing Co every week, we must like it!
We went back to Deep Creek Brewer last week for a meal and a couple of beers. It was a lively atmosphere again, with good service and great food. The new menu is great and the beers are still awesome. The 309 is still my favorite.
I suggested Deep Creek Brewing Co for a visiting Australian colleagues dinner. There were 8 of us in total. Service was shocking! The group arrived and sat down – waited for ages- I called over the waitress who was standing at the bar chatting. She walked over and said “oh ... are you thirsty?” (random!) The food arrived ~ Amazing !!! When we had all finished the plates were left on the table for at least ½ an hour (if not longer). I would still recommend Deep Creek – just don’t expect the staff to wait on you !
Last night was my 2nd visit to Deep Creek Brewing Co. Their food was great on both occasions, except for my Angus Steak last night. I requested medium-rare and got med-well and burned on the outside, which left it tasting bitter. The waiter was also very confused, our plates were put on 3 different tables before it got to us - not good.
