Danny Doolans is one of my favorite places to go after work, the atmosphere is great, great service, great people, great music.. just amazing.Everybody should give it a go sometime.. :)
Grungy irish bar in the viaduct and definitely a good time bar. Danny Doolans is probably the most unpretentious bar in the viaduct. Well priced drinks and good music - good to have a bar like Dannys in the viaduct area.
If you love listening to U2 then look no further! I stopped by Danny Doolans for a few Friday night drinks with workmates and wasn't expecting to stay too long. Time flies by when you having so much fun and blending with a good crowd. Those friendly Irish folks sure know how to whip up a good pub meal too!
Danny Doolans offers some of the best craic on the Viaduct! On a late summers afternoon there is few places better.
Danny doolans is possibly the one pub in auckland where you can walk in, drink, and know all the words to the songs they sing!!! Admittedly, the drink factor may distort your view on your singing ability but its fun all the same. Its cool having a bar with big wooden benches and a good stock of whiskeys. Its a grass roots approach to a night out on the town. awesome night
I had the yummiest steak at Dannys!! very easy to have a late lunch and sit around relaxing untill the band comes on and the night begins!
Wonderful food, friendly hosts and such cute place with tradition.
Having just been to Danny's on Saturday night I have to say - SUCH FUN! Our annual girls weekend of 7 married 30 something women would just not be the same without a night at Danny's. Unlike a lot of other bars the average age is not 16, but a huge range of age groups which is refreshing. Our only complaint was that the band came on quite late (after 11pm) and the 5min break was more like 30min. Sing, dance, flirt - feel alive!
