Covo in Carlaw Park, Parnell is slightly bigger than its sister restaurant located on Fort Street. Still quite cosy but on a quiet Monday night, it didn't feel too crowded.
Service, like its sister restaurant in Fort Street, was friendly. The proprietors were pretty easy going and quite flexible with what you wanted.
Food is simple with no fuss. My fellow diners expressed their satisfaction with the meals.
The pasta portions do seem a bit small for the price you pay. But at least, the pasta is freshly made (that's what they say on their menu!) and I can't really fault them with the flavour really.
Covo's a simple without a fuss kind of place. I like it for their friendly staff and atmosphere. Food-wise, it's pretty good and really simple. At least the parmigiana tasted more like the real thing, unlike some I've had recently.
