Nasty and horrific service. Rude and obnoxious staff. Location good, but the staff are the worst!

Never again!!!

Nice location and looks like a nice place for a coffee and cake. They also sell espresso machines and assorted equipment. Good espresso. Cake I had was overly hard and service was very poor. I wouldnt visit this one again. The Queen St branch is much better

As an enticement to go clothes shopping for a "short while" (so I was led to believe), the prospect of a hang-over curing breakfast was on the cards.

So herr it was, after a two-hour sojourn along Newmarket, my girlfriend and I ventured into Columbus Coffee. By this stage we were decidedly peckish and I opted for the omelettes with bacon (at 12 bucks) and my girlfriend, the healthier, but not as appertising panini.

It was reasonably quiet - possibly the reason we were served so fast. My meal was reasonably sized, but nothing too spectacular, and I'm afraid in the state I was in, size definitely was everything! I also had a Chocollate Frappe which hit the spot.

My girlfriend on the other hand, was a bit disappointed with her choice (to be fair there was plenty more to choose from), but she thought the coffee was pretty average.

All up, Columbus Coffee is a fairly convenient stop to the Newmarket clothes boutiques, but I think we'll be trying other venues next time I get roped into shopping.
