We have been going to China Hong Kong Cuisine for many years!!! Do not expect decor and ambiance as there is totally none. We have tried telling them to put up some nice scenes of China but to no avail. However, the food is simply fantastic!!!!!!!!! try the salty spicy squid!! Everything is great and we have never been disappointed. You have to book on a Friday or Saturday night or you will wait in a line for ages as it's so popular. Everyone who we tell about it loves it!!!

Although nothing to look at in terms of decor this restaurant gets the thumbs up from me!!! Not a place to take a romantic date - but perfect to take a family - our two year old spent the evening eating great food and watching the live lobster and the sharks in the tank down the back of the restaurant.
Always full every night of the week and almost impossible to get into over chinese new year the food is well above average.
BYO wine AND beer to please everyone - the first thing that is put in front of you is a pot of chinese tea - something more chinese restaurants should do in NZ.
Our last visit was for my husband's birthday so we had reserved a table for 13 and reserved 2 x Peking Duck (you must order this in advance). We had this in three courses - the first was the paper thin pancakes with the cucumber, spring onions and Hoisin sauce - big pieces of duck meat with the crispy skin still attached - mouth-watering flavours and cooked to perfection!!! The second course consisted of the lettuce leaves with a seasoned minced duck and for the third course we choose duck bones - great flavour but no real meat left. Next time we would probably choose to have it in two courses or try the soup for the third course.
We then ordered three more dishes - Chicken & Vege - Mongolian Style Pork (nice and spicy) - and my favourite regular dish, Beef Fried Rice Noodles. A tub of rice was served with these three dishes at no extra charge. For this veritable feast we were charged the small sum of $143 - an absolute bargain and everyone left very full and satisfied and in disbelief at the cost. Peking Duck a MUST.

China Hong Kong Cuisine is an economical Chinese Restaurant, taste is ok to average really.
