Second visit to Caffe e Cucina and cannot fault it.
Service is outstanding. food awesome. So great to have this quality at our back door
We must have gone on an off day - the food was lukewarm, dried up and not very good at all. The kids fries tasted like old cooking oil and the lamb shank was dry and cold on top but burning hot underneath - maybe microwaved?
Desert did redeem itself though - the chocolate brownie was very good but sadly we probably won't go back to Caffe e Cucina!
honestly really surprised by caffe e cucina. Really obscure setting in Albany but I was genuinely impressed by all facets of the dining experience. Took my partner to caffe e cucina for lunch - I had the lamb shanks and she had the salmon gnocchi. Ample portions and both very tasty. The service at Caffe e Cucina could also not be faulted...a restaurant well worth seeking out.
Despite being in the area for years, never really heard a word about caffe e cucina at all until my boss discovered a few weeks back.
Rather than take his word on it, thought I'd give caffe e cucina a try on my own terms. It's really quite hard to find but well worth seeking out. Caffe e Cucina is certainly one of the better restaurants around in this part of Albany.
What a surprise and what a find - in Albany of all places! For the many times I have driven past this rather bland looking exterior, I assumed Caffe e Cusina was just an every-day cafe. Not so. Not so at all!
Drop in and you will find a spacious and modern restaurant serving Italian cuisine from breakfast through to dinner. We were sat outside under the louvres on the leather banquette seating, which was comfy and certainly not cramped.
The service was a little slow but they were fairly busy with local business folks having power lunches!
The food was pretty good - the only thing letting them down was the chicken in my caesar salad was cold and cut a little on the chunky side. But overall it tasted great.
Definitely recommended.
Went last night to Caffe e Cucina and had a damn good night. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. We had a bottle of wine which was fairly decent and was only $37 not to mention it was from Venice which gave that extra nice touch on the Italian experience. My meatballs where better than 'just good', others at the table had Risotto balls which where "delicious' My wife had courgette wrapped in ricotta which where gone by the time i took at second look at her plate. We moved on to mains, I had fish soup (name doesn't justify it) there was an Italian name which I cant remember and would rather not say than get it wrong. The soup was PACKED with mussels, prawns, scampi, scallops, squid and what I believe is kingfish. It was excellent with a good kick of pepper the only one down point where by the time it was served and eaten the scallops where well overcooked. Going round the table....friend 1 Pork belly on recommendation from the waitress was "excellent", Friend 2 calzone, "tasty. Wife, "best bruschetta I've had for a while."Then the hard part, we're stuffed but the dessert menu is packed with a lot of excellent choices and i personally never usually go for dessert but my wife coaxed me into the dessert platter. The platter was pretty good with the highlight being the hot chocolate brownie, probably one of the best i have had.Anyway definitely worth visiting this place. We had vouchers from a day sale website but will definitely be coming again.
we went here for our christmas office dinner. There were 8 of us and it was full to capacity. We waited over 45 minutes for our mains and when three of the mains came out they were taken off us again after we had taken a few chips off the plate and one of us had tasted the bernaise sauce, to be placed at another table - the waitress got the wrong table! Unbelievable! Then she came back for the rocket salad! Oh dear. It was very noisy and it is the type of place you have to shout to be heard at the table. The eye fillet was good though. Poor service really. I think they should employ more staff - some runners perhaps and get the orders right!
Just passing through Albany and thought we would stop in for a coffee, was pleasantly surprised to find a large comfortable restaurant with an amazing outdoor area. The coffees were lovely and was even tempted to have some breakfast which I found to be a nice change from the norm. The waffles were a nice blend of soft and crispy and the scrambled eggs with chorizo sausage on toast were done to perfection. Friendly staff and nice chilled atmosphere, perfect for a Sunday morning. Will definitely be returning!!
