We ordered 5 coffees for take away and were still waiting 12 minutes later. In that space of time we sat very near the counter I saw only 4 coffees go past.
It was in the afternoon and there were a few people inside but considering there were 3 people at the counter during this time and another fourth taking coffees out this is disappointing. When they were made about 15 minutes after we paid (I checked my receipt for the time), there was no"sorry about the wait"or "thank you for waiting" , which would have been nice to be acknowledged.
The coffee was not particularly great either, mine on the weak side and milk not incorporated into the coffee with white foam on top.
Come on guys, a little dialogue goes a long way,
Will not recommend or return.

Stopped into Cafe Miko today after a long 8km walk around the Gardens and Totara Park. We chose the spinach quiche and salad from the cabinet.
It was filling and tasty. The service was friendly. Cafe Miko is a very busy venue so I thought they did very well under the circumstances.

It's a lovely place to stop and have a coffee (which are quite good), however on my last visit with my Nana we ordered a bowl of fries for $7.

They came out after quite a wait and they were literally a very small scale scope less than you would get in a chip carton from a festival hot-dog stand or as such and they were served with a below average and tiny sample of aioli and one sachet of tomato sauce!

For paying $7 I would have expected at-least a ramekin of tomato sauce not a sachet which sells on the counter for 30c.

Other than that the coffee, tea and hot chocolate we ordered were fine but was a disappointment with the chips which are also the same price as wedges with cheese and sour cream.

Fabulous setting over beautiful gardens. After looking at the website we thought it would be the perfect location for our wedding and reception. Unfortunately the food and service really let this place down. Overpriced food in the cabinet and not alot to choose from. We ordered 2 different cakes, one was stale and the other was like a piece of a rubber and could have bounced off the table. There was a group at the table next to us who asked for their table to be cleared and the waiter told them that their table wouldn't be cleared until they left!!?? So all in all a really disappointing experience. A real shame as we had such high hopes. :(
