I would like to start by saying this is the absolute WORST dining experience of my life and that was BEFORE the food was “served”...First off Boulevard of Dreams was booked 7 months prior for a 60th birthday (I did not book this and thus had no choice over the venue). A week before we were due to dine here we were informed that the usual buffet would be replaced by a Hangi...There was a celebration put on the same night for Dennis Marsh (some album release...), which was fine but we had to sit through a Powhiri. Cultures aside when this booking was made there was no mention of this. All 19 of us were cramped on to 4 tables and then made to wait patiently (and hungry) while this was done for about half an hour. Not only this but the Dennis Marsh party got to line up and eat first (it was a Hangi buffet) which was extremely offensive and made our party of 19 seem like we were not paying customers or worth serving at all. When we finally got the privilege to line up for the buffet, we were squished and squashed up against the other patrons who had sat down to eat...We had to endure cold, disgusting "food" (thank God they ran out of this “food” for the rest of us PAYING CUSTOMERS *blerk*) and it was obvious we were not important enough for the wait staff to not only serve us drinks but clean up the plates...The restaurant was obviously overbooked but "Boulevard of Dreams" staff did not give our party the opportunity to rebook either at another time/date or so we could go somewhere else. Realistically, this night was all about Dennis Marsh, in which case, the "Boulevard of Dreams" staff should have made this night a PRIVATE FUNCTION for him. Instead they were greedy and completely unprofessional and I hope no one else has to endure such a terrible experience that we had to suffer through...Worst experience ever and very disgusting and disrespectful service I have endured. By the way the decor is just as bad as the food, not to mention the attitude of the staf
