I just went to Besos for the first time and LOVED everything about it. It was my partner's first experience with Mexican/South American food and she too, adored it all. the service staff were excellent, the menu varied and with plenty of options for every budget, and things we were unsure of were promptly explained. The food was just delicious, as were the cocktails and decor. Highly recommended!

We chose Besos Latinos as it was close to the Town Hall where we were going to a concert featuring Latin music with the APO, so decided to keep the theme for the evening. We were not disappointed- the food was excellent and you certainly could not fault the service. Luis and Cecilia, who I believe manage the restaurant, do a superb job ensuring drinks and food are promptly served and the atmosphere is great- the colours and decorations really provide the Latin American ambience. Two of us were vegetarian and we really enjoyed the meal- often times, we are not catered for very well, but we will certainly be back. Our husbands are carnivores, so there was plenty of choice for them to. We didnt think Besos Latinos was expensive at all ( as one review did) and the portions were adequate.

Having travelled around South America I can confidently say that my experience dining at Besos Latinos has been an authentic and genuine journey through the delicacies of South American cuisine. It was really like sampling food from different South American countries without leaving my chair in the cozy and authentically furnished dining area.
I was there on a saturday night and I was lucky enough to enjoy also the music of a live band playing from bachata to salsa and why not...i gave it a try too :)
Don't miss the delicious ceviche, absolutely amazing!
Excellent restaurant!!Hope to go back soon!

I visited the restaurant last night, firstly to be provided with a broken chair which threw me onto the floor. After being asked if I was OK by a waitress, to which which my response was no, the staff disappeared and nobody addressed the situation again. No apology, no complimentary glass of wine, in-fact, the manager? avoided me altogether. We probably should have left, but hoped that some or one of those things would happen.
After being offered the Platos menu on a hand written piece of paper, we ordered. Unfortunately the price and the food did not match and although relatively authentic, we did feel upset about the value. We ordered a second bottle of wine and margaritas for some of the party, these took 20 minutes to reach the table after asking twice. The Margaritas were given to another table.
I am very disappointed in the service and the way I was dealt with. When I asked what was going to be done about my embarrassment, when paying at the end of the evening, the manager shrugged and said, sorry!
I will not be recommending this place, which is a shame, as the opportunity to eat food from this part of the world are few and far between.

The place is beautiful, but it needs more than decoration to make a good restaurant.I had high expectations when I visited Besos Lantinos. I was eating alone and I was told I could not order one part of a 2 people platter ($19 something per person). It's no rocket science: just make half a plater and keep the costumer happy! Very inflexible staff. I had to settle for empanadas, which I like. What was my surprise when I was served 2 minuscule empanadas, which hardly were 5 cm long! and I paid $12 for that!!! Very disappointed, not going back.

I happened upon Besos Latinos and was absolutely blown away by the food. The warm and friendly staff served the food at a perfect pace, and the music and atmosphere was incredibly romantic. I will definitely go back! Highly recommended!!
