hi just went to barracuda last week and is now owned and run by the previous owners of La Mamas and was excellent in every way...service fantastic and food superb taste, fresh, presented well and a decent sized serving. A top class dinner and reasonably priced. Would go again. Nicola Wilson
After enjoying an evening meal at Barracuda, we went back for a Sunday lunch. Very disappointing. We waited over an hour before our meals arrived and noted that 3 tables that all arrived after us were served before us! The fish dishes were over- cooked and placed on wilted lettuce. The restaurant was obviously over booked and as a result the poor waitress was not able to adequately serve us. Won't be going back to Barracuda.
Went there for lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Service was great, got a seat right by the window, nice outlook. Lunch menu very appealing and reasonably priced, the food was delicious, plus BYO kept the cost down. Would go back there for lunch, however went back to Barracuda Restaurant for dinner before xmas and not to impressed, overpriced and slow service.
Decide to try as it had new owners. The pork was really bad, bread was stale, wine list was poor. In all a bad night out, have had better meals at McDonald's.
Went to the Barracuda Restaurant & Cafe last Sunday lunchtime for a family birthday. Am pleased to report that at long last the food at this stunning venue has vastly improved, and we had a delicious lunch.
Only downside is that we had to wait one hour between ordering and receiving our main. The staff, who were very pleasant and efficient, were under a great deal of pressure due to two big group bookings. Management needs to take this on board and make sure there is enough staff to cope when there are heavy bookings.
We have been to Barracuda Restaurant & Cafe twice, and have had a great time on both occasions; the only thing that brings it down is the bad attitude of the older lady who works there. She is quite rude, but the service from Ian made up for it. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere wonderful and Ian is the point of difference that really makes the place great.
Really bad food - I don't recommend Barracuda Restaurant & Cafe to anybody who likes food.
Thoroughly recommend Barracuda Restaurant & Cafe- friendly staff - terrific food! Place was full on a regular Sunday night. All diners enjoyed the breads, entrees and mains. Dessert was great - though a light fruit or compote/brulee option might be a nice addition.
