Had heard good things about this restaurant, but walked in with a friend and greeted one of the waitresses who ignored us and continued to have a frown on her face the entire time we were there. Granted, we were all running late for our reservation, but the place was not busy and we had ordered drinks while waiting for the rest of the party to arrive. Was looking forward to the Moroccan mint tea, as having been to Morocco before, was expecting something delicious-not a teabag in a pot which barely tasted like mint at all. The lunch was a mixed bag-those that ordered the chicken salad, BLT or eggs benedict were happy, but the kofta meatballs were a disappointment. The menu said it came with hummus and roasted capsicum; what arrived was two bamboo skewers with 3 small meatballs on them each, a huge mound of sliced turkish bread with a bit of hummus and shrivelled, burnt green capsicum. The manager in charge was nice enough, but compared to the other waitresses that wasn't hard!

Bar Comida veered between awful and boring.
Such a disappointment on all levels but for the friendly waiter and waitress who did their best to accommodate. The manager barely 'managed' more than a grunt as we paid the overpriced bill. Mission Bay is yet to excite our tastebuds and the challenge is out there!
