Doesn't it sometimes frustrate you how difficult it can be to get a decent caffeine fix at an Auckland cafe any time beyond 4.00pm? It can't that unusual to want to drink in a cafe environment here in Auckland even after the sun sets, can it? For those times when you just want to have a caramel slice or a slice of cheesecake with that warm mug of coffee after hours, or for the days when you crave for brunch food at dinner time, there's View Auckland's list of Cafes Open at Night in Auckland.
Cafe Cezanne remains one of Auckland's longest standing cafes after all these years for good reason. This Ponsonby cafe is so much an Auckland institution that they've even been offering dinners to their loyal Aucklander patrons for a good while now. Even if ordering one of their scrumptious seafood dinners isn't what you're looking fro from this Auckland night cafe, you're still more than welcome for an after hours caffeine hit or a slice of their famously decadent desserts. Come, and let Rod and Jackie of Cafe Cezanne indulge you in what they've got to offer.

Frasers Cafe & Espresso Bar is an Auckland institution in itself, having served yummy comfort foods and coffees since forever to the perennial crowd at this wildly popular Mt Eden cafe. And it's no wonder, considering how delish their food is - it's our go-to late-night dessert haunt here in Auckland. We can never get past Fraser Cafe's famous New York baked cheesecake or one of their silky chocolate mousse cakes!

With offerings of full-sized a la carte meals, wine, coffee, cakes, snacks and tapas, Mezze Bar is an Auckland Central cafe with a difference. Don't be fooled by its name as this Auckland favourite doubles as a cafe too, open from 7:00am with a brunch menu that certainly doesn't lose out to any other regular cafe in Auckland. A buzzy Auckland CBD breakfast bar, Mezze Bar makes for a great coffee stop into the night - the mouth-watering gluten free chocolate torte and landmark orange and almond cake that come on the side are mere accompaniments to the smooth flat whites, of course.

If there was one thing that Ponsonby isn't for want of, it's more cafes - the Auckland suburb is simply infested with cafes and eateries, both good and bad. There are so many of them that it must be a chore just attempting to stand out in the crowd, but One 2 One Cafe has little problem doing so. Not only is the Auckland cafe open at night; One 2 One Cafe also holds live performances 2-3 nights a week, making this laid back cafe choice for a casual cafe-vibe night out!

Sure, Revel Cafe is only open at dinner time 4 nights a week, but we simply couldn't leave this Auckland Central favourite out of the equation. Revel had only in the recent months started offering night dinners at their cafe, and it looks like it's here to stay. With their unpretentious hospitality and delectable cabinet food that is available even at night, Revel Cafe in Auckland is an absolute hit with us night cafe owls!
