Oh the aroma is just so enticing but of course, we wanted to eat after the museum tour which i think makes you appreciate more the food with hungry tummy. My kids couldn't be more happier with hot fries to eat and of course, mum will have to taste the hot beverage, coffee! Good food and good crowd mostly families so the Auckland Art Gallery Cafe was the perfect stop before heading home.

I have to second that comment about the fries at the Auckland Art Gallery Cafe from the previous user - they were delicious, and not just for kids! I had a toasted vege pide which was really good (lots of filling and nice and moist), and some of the fries to go with it. They are served with tomato sauce and aioli in little bowls. The coffee was good, although the waiter made a mistake with it which is one of my pet hates - he spilled a huge amount into the saucer then offered me a napkin to clean it up. If he had taken my coffee away and got a new one, it would have elevated our visit to almost perfect!

After you have checked out the Degas to Dali exhibition it's worth a visit to the Auckland Art Gallery cafe.
The perfect people watching spot as well as very tasty food and great coffee! The homemade fries hit the spot for the little people too.
