The ViewAuckland Review
Cosmopolitan and chic, with sleek polished concrete and an urban industrial feel.
Shared conversation-friendly tables and a mini-library of magazines create a relaxed
ambience. BYO laptop and hitch a ride on the free wi-fi.
Friendly and authoritative, especially about the different single origin brews on offer.
Welcome to the world of ‘slow brew’, an alternative to the espresso method. Pull up
a chair at the Atomic’s ‘Brew Bar’ and enjoy exotic blends like Ethiopian Sidamo or
Mexican Ismam delivered using a siphon or a hario drip. Don’t worry, quick-as-a-
flash espresso is also available if you’re running to a meeting.
Lots of tasty baking - including great chocolate ganache cupcakes and doughnuts
cooked on site – and toasted bagels and panini. A short, everchanging menu of
cooked dishes includes winter-warming chorizo and baked beans.
The Bottom Line
One of the Auckland’s first coffee roasters – established in 1992 – is now perfectly
showcased in a thoroughly 21st-century café and roastery.
A Reason to Return
To reward your inner coffee geek by a leisurely sampling of the single origin
Ethiopian Harrar, an intense and sweet brew only served black.
