I don't hesitate to recommend Archies if you want a good value and tasty Italian meal with friendly service. We go to Archies regularly for lunch on weekends, all mains are $14 and the pizzas, pasta and salads are all delicious.

I particularly recommend the Tutto Mare (seafood) pasta...the fish in it is so tasty. Meals are served with delicious balsamic crème and olive oil on the table, and we usually get the freshly baked bread for only $2 as well...it's so yummy.

We ate at Archies yesterday and they had run out of mussels and the owner Archie personally came to our table to apologise and explained that they were in the process of getting some fresh ones in....and during our meal they obviously arrived and were cooked fresh, and he sent over a double portion our table. That is good service.

Meals are not massive, but sizeable enough and I never end up feeling bloated after a big pasta meal like I sometimes do at other Italian restaurants.

Kids get dough and rolling pins at their tables to play with during meals, and I always see kids looking like they are having fun. Great atmosphere sitting outdoors too.

A solid 4 stars from me.

Archies Restaurant and Pizzeria offers a casual dining environment in Newmarket.

Food isn't too bad, but I do think that it depends on what you order. The pizzas are quite tasty and I quite like their pizza base.

The last time I visited, I had a ravioli dish which sounded really good in its description. Unfortunately though, I couldn't really fully enjoy my meal as it was a bit too creamy for me. Which was a pity cause I did enquire with the waitress while ordering if the ravioli was served in a cream based sauce. She assured me it wasn't very creamy at all, unlike a carbonara. I think her definition of creamy is quite different from mine. The dish was still tasty though.

Service-wise, was alright. The place was rather busy when we were there but we still got served. Was a bit slow.

Beverage-wise, I'm not too sure as I wasn't in charge of ordering the drinks. We did have a good wine though.

Overall, wouldn't mind going back. But I don't think it's the best.

we had a booking for 7:45pm for 10 people! when we turned up there restaurant was packed so we were wondering where they were going to seat us...... an hour later we were seated!!!!! r u serious! it gets worse .... 2 hours later our food arrived! how long does it take to make a freakin pizza! service was absolutely shocking and the waiter was refilling our beer glasses with water!! when we complained to the owner he was not sympathic and simply said "what do you expect" this is so shocking. im sure they make really good pizza but by the time the food arrived no one was hungry so we had to take the pizza home! I would never go back and i know the other 9 people won't either, we all work in newmarket and have told everyone we know about this appalling experience ......... what a shame!!!

you know a place has got to be good when its ALWAYS packed! but with plenty of tables both inside & out (fantastic on those nice summer days) I havent ever had to wait (for a table)...due to Archies Restaurant and Pizzeriea's $10 lunch special it can be a bit frantic around 12-2 but the food is delicious (pizza pasta or salad) and are generous portions....nice wines/coffees/ etc...would recommend to anyone wanting a yummy meal at a reasonable price...

Just indulged into 3 of their pizzas takeaway, and was blown away with the simple but powerful authentic Italian flavors....
