Fantastic coffee and fantastic service. I work every weekend close to Fred coffee shop, and their coffee is the one I look forward to every week starting Monday!
Their service and staff is also fantastic! I have recommended to everybody I know!
My children and I visited Fred's on Easter Friday as I'd seen the ViewAuckland review during the week (and hadn't realised Agnes Curran was no longer) so were keen to check it out.
No surcharge - bonus, but it was the cool setting and welcoming staff that really impressed me...the staff were very chatty and it seemed all of the other patrons were of the same opinion.
Food and coffee were top notch too...it was easter so had to go the obligatory hot cross bun but not before trying the yakidog ...nomnomnom is all I can say. Fred's - well and truly worth the visit to Ponsonby!
Fresh new take on an old favourite. Interesting and delicious food at very reasonable prices. Supreme coffee, YUM! Fred's has the best milkshakes in town
My friend had reccomended this cafe quite some time ago, I was heading down ponsonby road and easily found a park and thought lets go there, which I thought was still Agnes Curran.. known for fantastic home baking I was excited, but was terribly disappointed with the choice and decided to go savoury, $16.00 for bacon egg relish and cheese roll, really is that what they charge these days! The guy was lovely and accommodating, however the girls a smile wouldn't go amiss.Coffee was good. Would not go back.
Fantastic little cafe in the heart of Ponsonby! It's been a while for a fair while now, but Agnes Curran still manages to impress - no mean feat given the cafe culture that exists in Auckland now.
Well done Agnes Curran!
I loved this cafe at first sight! A friend suggested we meet here for lunch about a month ago and I have been back for the chicken and mustard pie twice since. My attempt to duplicate this recipe at home doesn't quite match up.
Tucked away on the corner of Franklin Rd at the back of a shop, it is easy to miss but its European feel, friendly staff and delicious food is sure to lure you back.
I have been living in Sydney for the past 8 months and one thing I miss the most is Agnes Curren yum yum yum......... Please open up a shop in Sydney
Great cafe...Great staff...GREAT LAMINGTONS
