Oh the good old Fu-Bar from the years when they used to be on Queen Street.Since the business changed names to Zen and moved to Albert Street, it was one of the best things that the owners did.The Zen bar know blends in with the walk from the viaduct on a Fri/Sat night when Auckland City is bussling with people.This bar i would recommend as more of a student bar with a culture of various Hip-Hop and house beats to get you in a good dancing mood for any club go-er.The drinks are also fairly priced so will not break your wallet to badly, and the hot people that work there is just a bit of added eye candy too.Great bar great place to go highly recommend checking this place out.

Went to Zen tonight to see MF DOOM play. He was sick and would have notified Zen of this earlier in the afternoon. Zen did not tell the general public that he was not going to play, instead luring people to their establishment and dragging out the 'opening acts' of the evening until midnight when they announced DOOM would not play. Hence they were able to monopolise on all the patrons that came to the DOOM concert and bought drinks over the many hours of waiting for DOOM to play, under false pretences. This is absolutely shocking business practice, and Zen deserves to be boycotted as they employ false means to drum up business at their establishment. They deserve zero stars out of five as they obviously do not care about their patrons and only about making money.

Been there once for a friends birthday, eww the floor was covered with chewing gums n shit. My heels got stuck to the gum so many times!! It was so disgusting, if it wasnt for my close friends birthday, i would have left in 2mins.
