Half way down the stairs of St Kevin's Arcade, walk into what looks like a dingy, graffitied bar and through to another room, and you walk into a hidden gem. Dimly lit, comfy couches, and live music by amazingly talented musicians. This is my favourite bar in Auckland for a semi-quiet saturday night, vey relaxing.

I have been to the Wine Cellar only once but it turns out to be a nice little bohemian hideout, lots of nooks and crannies to pretend your still part of the music revolution in the 60's, or maybe just a bunch of students hanging out. Red wine is probably the most appropriate to drink and of that they had plenty of choices. Live music too. Real good.

A fun, cosy little place serving some great wines and providing an enjoyable environment in which to drink away the night with some good friends and some good nibbles.
