I had calamari as a main meal size but found it very tough and not very well presented on the plate. When I mentioned I found it tough the waiter said he would tell the chef but I was offered no replacement or discount. The waiter passed my meal to me in front of another diner instead of bringing it around to my side. Also I think $30 for an very ordinary fish and chip meal is somewhat expensive.
Had a very good experience at the Waterfront Cafe this weekend. We took a friend from Germany there for a farewell dinner, after going for a jetboat ride on the harbour. We were 9 nine adults, 3 children and 2 infants and they catered for our needs very well. They made us all feel welcome and no request was too much for the friendly staff. Food was good. It isn't a 5 star restaurant but is exactly as it claims - a bar and cafe serving really tasty food that's good value for money, with a great view of the water. A few of us had really nice steaks, which were all cooked just how we asked.
We went from Wellington to Auckland to celebrate my husbands 60th with friends & family and made such a good choice with this restaurant. Great service, great view, great atmosphere and we were all impressed with the food, everyone was happy their choice.
Thank you to all at The Waterfront, we will be back in the near future
Love love love the Waterfront Cafe! great for children which is hard to find in the city. Has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, awesome service & great fresh & tasty food. Really enjoyable!
Have had many meals at the Waterfront restaurant & always loved it. Staff have always been friendly & the food is well priced for what you get.
Nice interior and friendly staff but the food is very low quality.
Frozen chips, fatty cheap meat.
