Wagamama Newmarket is an awesome, modern restaurant. My udon noodles were delicious and the service was fast and friendly. was disappointed with my choice of dessert, i went for the chocolate wasabi brownie thing but wished i had chosen the stem ginger cheesecake that my friend got which was AMAZING!!!
Good quality food, and sitting in an open space cramped restaurant actually makes you feel like you are eating in the Orient...
Wagamama does the basics of asian cuisine well, and keeps things quite simple. My only real complaint is that they don't include enough meat in their dishes, especially the noodles. I wolfed down my meal, and then ordered some meat skewers in addition just so I could feel like I had enough protein ;)
My wife assured me that the meat was plenty for most people, but I'm still skeptical. Taste-wise, no complaints and worth the visit if you like asian food and want to get a meal on the run, but don't go to Wagamama if you have a hearty appetite and are in the mood for a solid piece of steak...or if you want a relaxing and romantic atmosphere ;)
3 stars.
I love wagamama! It's just a fun place to go for a bowl of noodles and I love a good bowl of noodles. I also love that they have good vegetarian options and tofu. The service could improve at times but they are always friendly and usually do their best in their own way. I also love being a member to get the occasional free desert and that ginger cheesecake is yummy and love the free green tea. It's a good deal and even better when you are a member. :)
A great addition to Newmarket's dining scene. Fast, friendly and efficient service (even when they are packed) and well-priced, tasty food. I particularly like their fresh juices.
All Wagamama restaurants around the world offer the same great food and super fast service - this means that when the restaurant is full (and they often get full to bursting) they cook the food as soon as the orders come in - and as some take less time to cook than others, they come out at other times.
So for the chance of a quick meal you just have to accept that your food, if different meals, will come out i nintervals.
If this is going to offend you - best thing to stay away and leave Wagamama's to us more relaxed people who can enjoy quality and something a little different when we see it.
Definitely recommended - time and time again!
I enjoyed lunch. Good taste of my meal, fast service. Will visit Wagamama in Nuffield Street again
after living in the uk we were stoked to see a wagamama right here in newmarket.
the team were awesome and they even shouted us some of the edamame beans.
it takes a lot to keep up with the UK standards, but you guys have managed it beautifully. thanks.
Three of us went for lunch, there were ten people in the restaurant.
After placing our order our main courses turned up one by one with five minute intervals in-between each one arriving. after questioning why this was. They just told
me thats how the restaurant is run...
Weak. we might as well of all gone for lunch on our own.
