A very disappointing brunch experience - despite the bathroom posters proclaiming it to have “the best brunch in Auckland”. The eggs benedict would have better suited some tasty bread rather than day-old hamburger buns. The feta, melon, watercress and poached egg salad was a confusion of flavours and the watercress probably looked better a couple of days before. Also if I’m paying $4.50 for an OJ, make it a decent OJ (even if it is a small glass filled to the brim with ice) not reconstituted Keri. Breakfasts used to be far better here, but I gather they’re cutting back on costs. Also when a customer comments on the food, do try to care, otherwise don’t ask us.
Attic in Mission Bay ROCKS!
Great place to meet friends on a Sunday afternoon, a few drinks, a chat, something to eat and the live music. I agree about the 2 man band - outstanding - named Southpaw. I've been back 2 or 3 times just to hear them. Keep it up, Attic.
The best and only real place for a drink and a decent social atmosphere in this part of town (unless you're into fake Italian restaurants!)... food is all good too!
Always thought it was a Mission to go to Mission Bay but popped along to The Attic for a private function once and have been back heaps of times since! It was so cozy in the winter with the open fire place and good red wines. Now I'm enjoying the sunshine on the balcony a couple of times a week. Great place for coffee during the day - I actually get a lot of work done there sitting with my laptop. Cannot recommend the pork belly enough and also love the tuna salad. I live in Grey Lynn but like to think of The Attic as one of my locals. Sundays are great with live music followed by a walk on the beach.
Attic is the best bar / eatery in the bays in my opinion. Eaten there multiple times, been drinking there even more....will be back. The two man band they had on one Sunday was outstanding.
Great place to chill on a Sunday arvo. View is awesome and atmosphere makes you want to settle in. Hard to leave. Top marks.
The Attic Bar & Restaurant is an awesome place to eat and drink. In the heart of Mission Bay the views are amazing and with summer coming its well worth a visit.
