The Tasca Cafes, on Nuffield street is always cosy and friendly with tapas that I think are reasonably authentic and tasty. I’ve been here 3 times now and every time had a different meal. This time tapas for the beginning of a girls night out. This time I was sharing with a vegetarian friend so had Croquetas, Patatas Bravas, green beans with crusty bread (the beans were killed) and halloumi which was great. The Sangria is good and the service quick. Its handy to the train and close to other bars so a good start for a night out.

The Tasca Cafes, inspired by the back street tapas bars of Spain, is a Nuffield Street local , big on ambience and tasty food , small on formalities. Tasca offers a bit of European charm and an escape from the rat race. Nice and cosy and pleasant enough staff.

I’ve been here once here and enjoyed a few tapas over a wine however this time my friend and I just had a hankering for a healthy tasty salad. So we had the Barcelona Salad of mesclun leaves topped with chorizo sausage, artichokes, gherkin, baby potatoes and Spanish onion, boiled egg and aioli and the Matador salad of rare roast beef on salad greens with roasted red peppers, anchovy mayo and parmesan cheese . Both really tasty and generous portions which we shared between us. And finished off with a hot obligatory apple tea.

It’s an easy place to go to for something quick after a movie which is what we did.

My partner and I purchased a voucher for here from a deal site.
It is a cute little place with a good feel to it. Our voucher consisted of our choice of Tapas and a jug of Sangria. There were quite a few options for the Tapas and we loved what we had. The prawns and squid were both lovely and my partner loved the chicken ad mushroom croquettes. The sangria went down a treat and we found the service to be pretty good also. I would go back here even without a voucher and would recommend it to others :)

The wheelchair access was great, the staff were lovely and helpful.
We had a Grabone coupon for two tapas each and it was delicious! We had a dessert each after and it was a perfect amount of food.
Will return as the food was so yummy.

I love this place! The food is well worth your money, you could probably share a meal, and affordable. The mains range from $16-$33.
If you do your research and find out what nights they have live entertainment, this is a fantastic way to spend an evening.... They have Flamenco Dancers, and apparently a Greek night too.

Went for brunch in the weekend. The place was busy so we decided to go in. The wait for the food was quite long, and our drinks order was forgotten. When it did arrive the coffee was average, and not too hot. My eggs were poached not scrambled and my friend got mushrooms when she asked not to have them.
