Had a lovely lunch at Soljans Estate Winery with friends. Great food, beautiful wine and very attentive service.
Kicked off a girl's weekend away by having lunch here. Lovely setting, sitting out on the terrace. Food was great and so was the wine. Would definitely return!
Went to a wedding at soljans a while ago. It was a nice place. I wasnt too excited when they brought out the house champagne/bubbly, untill i tried it. Im no connosieur but whatever they do to that stuff before they put it in the bottle is working for them. It was quite sweet- and it worked a treat.
It was a very cool setting and the food was nice as well. The service was quality and id definately go back.
Great Food and service, playground for the kids and a must stop for anyone travelling out to Kumeu or Muriwai.Soljans also have a great store with Wine sales and some fantastic kiwi gifts! Can get busy so may be best to book first on the weekends!
Soljans is a lovely restaurant located in West Auckland. The grounds are very attractive, as is the building, containing a wine shop well stocked with wines and ports from the Soljan winemakers.
We were a small party of two on a reasonably busy Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed the food on a previous visit in January, and decided to treat ourselves to some deserts and coffee.
We were jerked around by staff a little, first being told there are no seats available, but then a manager got involved into the conversation and she managed to find a table for two.
Unfortunatelly, that was the last bit of service we received. We spent 25 minutes waiting patiently for someone to take our order. The waitress I've asked about ordering advised that someone will come to take the order. No one did.
As we were leaving, I did approach the manager, who appologised but decided that "we were busy" is a good enough explanation.
In all fairness, in the past I found food an Soljans attractive and this made me bring an Aussie wedding party to the place in January. After this though, I am not sure I would do it again. "We were busy" to take an order in 25 minutes must be the lamest excuse any manager worth their title should ever produce.
Lovely food at Soljans Estate Winery . Room is a little noisy. Can play pentaque if you wish or just sit and relax. Wine-tasting can be done beforehand or afterwards at the entrance ... where you can also purchase their wine. Seating indoors or outdoors is your choice, but this place always seems to be busy.
