Went here for my birthday dinner and had a great time! There wa such a wide variety of food to choose from we ordered so much and everyone loved every bite! The atmosphere was lovely as well as very friendly and helpful staff members will definitely be going there again!

Limited menu with nothing out of the ordinary. Service could be improved. Food was average, steak was a poor quality/cut and overcooked and full of gristle, prices were also a bit steep (e.g. $9 for a small bowl of plain steamed Brocolli). I suppose you could say it has a warm virbant atmosphere, but it was incredibly noisy. Abit hard to have a decent conersation and catch up with people because you can barely hear yourself talk. Proabbly won't be back. There are much better Japanesse eateries around the local area including Bowz or Tanto (both also on Manuakau Road) and Banzai in Balmoral.

Our family favourite, there is something on the menu to keep everyone happy, the service is excellent and fast and the food is delicious and extremely well priced. The most requested place to eat by our kids!

This hugely popular place is a time-savvy, lively and fun dining option, perfect before a movie at the Lido picturehouse. Book early to secure a booth downstairs where you can be part of the atmosphere and join in greeting, thanking and farewell-ing punters each time the gong is struck. Otherwise, opt for pillow-seating upstairs by the karaoke. Sitting at the counter downstairs is an experience in itself and you get to see the dexterous way in which the little prawn balls are rolled about with toothpicks and cooked till golden brown. Sashimi platters are always fresh and the scallops are good, but the current menu is not as inspiring as it once was. Beware of BYOW charges ($8 per bottle at last visit, kind of negates the cost benefit of bringing your own). Lots of fun, food pretty good, great atmosphere and location.

This restaurant has got to be the best place in Auckland for a great night out either with a large group or just for two. The atmosphere is brilliant the food divine and...if you have a group of you then I thoroughly encourage you to dine upstairs in the Karaoke area. What a laugh! even for those who don't care to sing...They usually end up with microphone in hand belting out a tune. The staff are always on hand to help out and the food never takes long to get to you and it just keeps coming and it's always hot and always DELISH!!!A very authentic Japanese restaurant. High Distinction from this very regular patron.
