Puhoi Pub is an absolute gem of a place. Facial hair is a prerequisite at this place (there's even a 'bad santa'...look for him (he'll be wearing camo from head to foot)) but if you haven't been, then make sure you head out to Puhoi and get acquainted with one of Auckland's most infamous bars...you won't forget Puhoi Pub in a hurry.

Called into the Puhoi Pub on the way back from a footy trip up in Mahurangi. Classic country pub - not too flashy but friendly staff all the same - good outdoor area as well (perfect for one a 60 seater bus rocks up with three footy teams!).
Call in if you are heading north.

Iconic Pub with a wealth of local history and the legend of previous publican Rod Seymour.
A must stop on any trip north!

Uncle Seymour what can i add to the legend that he was :) i spent the first 10 yrs of my life living in that pub up stairs right hand corner loved it :) many happy memories :) he use to throw coins all over the pub for the kids to get and it was the one place you would find all the gangs in one place with no trouble on a Saturday, motor bikes from the pub all the way down the road it was a awesome sight and one i think about always wondering if it still happens today :) will be on the top of my list to visit when i return to NZ a def must see for all :) - Report

Our trip to Puhoi pub will be in our memories forever. We have never had so much fun and the locals are warm and welcoming, especially Scruff. An awesome time was had by all with great atmosphere and food. We are going to make it a tradition to go at least 4 times a year. Puhoi Pub was the best time out in ages.
