I don’t join up to these sites – but having had such a bad experience I feel forced to do so!
Venue is great – hands down.
Service is bad – We found it very difficult to understand what she was saying. She needed to keep referring to the menu to tell us what each meal came with and took our order down wrong.
Food is terrible. I ordered a sirloin steak medium rare which came with fresh peas, mash potatoes and mushroom sauce. What I believed would be a simple meal.
What I got – Well done thin steak of which half was chewy fat, peas that were still cold as if they had been frozen, mash potatoes which hadn’t been mashed properly and had a few raw potato chunks in it and mushroom sauce that was so thin and spare that I couldn’t enjoy it with the remainder of my meal.
My partner ordered a pasta of which was equally disappointing.
Last Saturday evening I went to Patio Cafe with very high expectations of the place as I so heard from my friends. I went along with a couple of my friends, and when I entered the place it was absolutely stunning. The interior design was really classic yet had unique aspects to it. I was greeted with a friendly smile as a waitress kindly escorted me outside to the balcony where I met with the breathtaking view of the lower Queen Street. The entree we had was mushroom caps and calamari which was quite pleasing. Our mains evolved around the pasta and the pizza selections. I loved the seafoood pasta that was fulfilling. Dessert was my favourite. I had a creme brulee that was heavenly, and tried some of my friends almond pie which was aslo nice. The pricing I would say is very reasonable and quite affordable for such fulfilling portions. Overall the food, the service and the site was satisfying and it has become one of my favourites to visit with my friends.
On a sunny day last week, i was strolling around Queen Street to look at some shopping malls. But what really caught my eye was that the Queens Arcade seemed worth my time to have a look inside. Since my friend and I was feeling hungry, we decided to eat at Patio Cafe. When we stepped inside, it seemed like everything was new, which impressed me. Staff members greeted me politely, which i was lead to a comfortable seat out in the balcony. The Menu was handed over quickly, served by drinks. The meal came out in 5minutes. But it didnt look like a 10second rush-do. The t-bone steak was served with lots of salad and some gravy on the steak. The steak was cooked medium, which was perfect for my taste buds. My friend had bolognese. She said she loved the sauce and the spagetti was perfect. After our scrumptious main, we decided to eat a dessert. I ordered a tiramisu and my friend ordered vanilla bean ice cream. It was delicious as the tiramisu melted in my mouth. The plate was decorated nicely, and my friend loved the ice cream. Everything seemed high quality. I paid the bill which didnt cost much at all. We would love to go eat there another time, and try something esle. I recommend Patio Cafe to everyone.
