Absolutely shocking. I have written a very detailed letter and sent it to the owner in October and again in November and have not received a response. I really don't know where to start on just how dreadfully bad this place is. Went with 4 people for dinner and drinks, and of those four, three got some pretty upset stomachs the next day... Awful. Basically I wrote to the owner about a number of things, but I won't bore you with them all now - just trust me, it's BAD. 1.I don’t drink anymore so I asked for a ginger beer. “We don’t have any” is the response I got from the barman. Ok, I’ll have an orange juice please. “We’re out”. Ok, Sprite? So the barman shakes the dregs of a bottle of Sprite. I gave up and had a half sprite, half soda water mix. Sorry to point this out, but isn’t this meant to be a bar? 2.We ordered the Drinkers Board and Cajun Calamari to start. On the former we got NO squid rings OR fish goujons. Instead, we got 4x DEEP FRIED CHEERIOS ON STICKS. Choice. I thought we were at a (quote) ‘classy’ and ‘upmarket’ venue, not a kids birthday party. On the latter dish we got 6x calamari rings, which were overcooked and lacking any semblance of Cajun-ness. Pretty steep at a cost of $2.10 per ring.I could go on forever, but please, PLEASE, AVOID THIS PLACE! Hopefully it fails soon so something decent will take its place.

Went there on Friday night. Had to wait over an hour for food. Service was non existent in the dining room. Ladies toilet smelt like urine. When the food arrived it was overcooked yet cold. I had the chicken bacon thing and it was so dry it was crumbly and dusty and had very little flavor. My boyfriend had the steak and it was so small and overcooked I had to hold him back from making a huge scene. We were upset and hungry after this bad experience. Poor value for money. If they can't cook proper food they should stick to bar snacks. Venue is good but the toilet and food were both careless and lacked thought. I have had better microwave meals than what I got served. I won't go back there again.

Waited 40 mins for entrees. Butter chicken pizza was on a paper thin base that could not be picked up and when you did wrestle it off the plate all the filling just rolled straight off. It was slop with a weird taste and no where near hot enough. waited a further 1.5 hours for mains. 200gram Scotch would have been lucky if it weighed in at half that. Seriously. So overcooked, thin as schnitzel too. Stone cold and tough on ice cold mash that was salt free, Overcooked boiled carrot and raw broccoli. Disgusting. Asked for burger with no pineapple. It arrived luke warm with pineapple ring. Chicken mingion was as dry as the sahara in summer. We were not charged for the two microscopic scotch fillets and got free drink vouchers for next time. Will not be a next time. Been looking forward to this but will NEVER go back EVER. Food was like pig swill. Waiting time unacceptable. Only giving it one star as you have to fill the field, seriously it deserves none, Chef must have nil pride sending out rubbish like that. A 10 year old kid could cook this faster and better

What a fabulous venue. From the entrance you wouldnt believe such a great venue exists and in Newmarket - a brilliant location! You walk through the pub and cafe into the function room which is huge, has a stage, (dancefloor) big screen and private bar area its superb. Shane (owner) is fabulous to deal with and we couldnt rate this more. If you are looking for a great venue for your next function or birthday (we had a birthday there), with great food, drink and location look no further! Hiring it during the day or late morning is fantastic too! Thanks very much - it was amazing! Mel and Mike.
