We went for a farewell party on a Friday night and it started off well. The food was good but our experience was completely ruined as our orders were not written down so wrong items were bought out, orders were not bought out at all but we were made to pay for them, a whole table of orders was forgotten, after being polite and understanding as we were a large group we were yelled at by the manager/owner and he refused to bring out my friends dinner as he thought she said large pizza instead of medium. It could've all been avoided if our orders had been written down and the manager had been polite and accepting of his mistake. I was kind and said we don't mind the food coming out late at all because there were 30 of us, but my entrée was not given and I did mention it but they said it was probably given to another table but I checked and it wasn't. My two boys ordered 2 pizzas which went to another table, the people on that table asked 3 times if they were sure if that was their pizza because they ordered something else and they ended up eating it so it wouldn't go to waste. After my boys asked where their pizzas were and they were told it probably went to another table, you can order 2 more pizzas but you will have to pay for 4 pizzas. In the end they ended up eating as everyone was leaving the venue. It was a horrible evening and I wouldn't want to go back unless I go with only a few people or if management changes.
Service was average. Feedback to owner was met with what can only be described as rudeness. Wont be going back. Pizza is Pizza atmosphere and service are all you're offering. And you messed that up!!!
Me and my partner are regulars here, and it is definitely one of my favourite restaurants. The owner is so friendly, and the waiters are very polite. The $10 lunch menu during the week is really good value. The Chicken Linguine and Penne Bolognaise is very tasty. Meal comes with a drink too, my favourite is the lemon bitters.. it's actually the real stuff :)
I'm no 'greeny' by any stretch of the imagination, but I have a healthy respect for pizza. The organic tag was by no means the main draw card for the restaurant but a few mates and I were keen for a feed and dropped in for a bite. Whatever they do to those pizza's is fine by me because the flavours were outstanding, they were tasty and filling. We tried some of their beer that they brew on site also- it took a bit to get used to like any new beer but credit where its due - it was a hell of a lot better than my home brew efforts of '03. The people were good to us, the restaurant was warm and the pizza was the best I've had. Unlike buck and a little like arnie, ill be back.
My husband and I went to the Organic Pizza co Restaurant & Bar about 2 weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Owned by a husband and wife team, you are welcomed as soon as you go into the restaurant, and we felt like we were having dinner at someone's house - the word 'guest' has been revived here at this restaurant, and they really did make us feel well catered for. Upon arrival, we were taken up to the back of the restaurant where there were some heaters going and a cozy ambience, with great music and a great atmosphere. The service was efficient, smooth and friendly, without being too in your face or OTT. Everything is organic here and they even brew their own organic beer. We opted for a nice merlot from their good wine list as we like red wine with our pizzas. We started our meal with some organic bread and their home-made dips, which were absolutely to die for! Then came the pizzas! Beautiful! On a thin base, with wholesome fresh herbs, not TOO much cheese - just right. Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh. We didn't have a dessert, but if we'd had room we would've had dessert as well, because I'm sure that would've gone down a treat too. We will be back. A great restaurant, without being too over-the-top or pretentious. I guess the atmosphere and service goes with the food - wholesome and natural. We will be back!
A surprise visit with some friends led to us discovering this great venue we didn't even know existed one evening whilst in Newmarket. We had drinks in the Hops & Crops bar followed by the best pizzas by far. You gotta try this place coz we will certainly be back and telling everyone else about the Organic Pizza Co.
