Four of us had an early meal last night (Tuesday) at NSC and none of us will go back, in fact I have already warned people off. Although there were only a few diners, three of our meals took 45 minutes to arrive with the fourth about five minutes later minus the side dish that took another five minutes. My steak was of poor quality with lots of gristle, and both the onion rings and french fries were heavily overcooked. Two of the other meals were also steak and the cooking and quality were the same as mine. Just to cap it off, the toilets did not appear to have been cleaned for some time and were very untidy. Come on NSC, your location and pricing suggests a better dining experience and if you can't do better than this, you should think about another business!!

We went there on a Thursday night ordered coffees and in the menu saw a '3 cheese selection with crackers, grapes and walnuts for two' for $12.50 so decided to order this too. The place wasn't busy, coffees were served quickly however waited a while for the cheese platter. There were 3 types of cheese, crackers however no walnuts and a small bunch of mostly rotten red grapes. We ignored the fact that there were no walnuts and the grapes were simply inedible. When it came to the bills I was told the cheese platter for two was $23. I said that's incorrect as I saw in the menu $12.50. He showed me a menu which showed $23 but I told him no I definitely saw a different price. My husband went to pick up two other menus that were placed by the front door and there they were both showing $12.50. In the end I was charged for $12.50 despite no walnuts and inedible grapes. Anyway I felt a bit cheated as it almost seemed deliberate that they have two sets of menus with different prices. No a good feeling.

Edison and his team are amazing. Their service and attention to detail was exceptional. We celebrated my birthday along with 20 friends and he made the night very special. The food was amazing and he designed a special set menu for us. He chose the wines and my friends were very happy with the choice. Our meal was enjoyed while listening to musician Gabriele Campani, - cool guitarist. The venue recently changed its name and its decor - fantastic. I would highly recommend Nuffield Street Cafe. I'm sure we will be returning many more times. Diane
