After purchasing a grab one deal I was excited to head to one of my favourite pubs on the shore. As we had the kids we negotiated fish and chips to take away and grabbed a couple of beers whilst we waited for the food. As we we enjoying the scenery we decided to order two more drinks. It was during this time that the young barman brought the food out, closely followed by the Mrs and our two beers. We decided to eat our takeaways outside the Masonic Tavern on the table whilst we had our second beer. This is where it got weird. The older, ruder barman came out and said "Those were for take away" he then pointed down the road and said "So take them away" he than scuttled off before I could comment on his greasy offerings. Will never be back to the Masonic Tavern. Hospitality at its best!

We had a couple of burgers and fries at the Masonic Tavern for dinner a while back. Average and nothing to get exited about. After seeing a Grabone deal I thought I'd give them another go. But they refused to honour the deal and were rude & unhelpful. After my third visit when they again wouldn't accept the voucher (on the expiry date) I managed to get a refund. What a waste of time. I've never experienced anything like it. I definitely won't be going back.

If you are shore person and you have not been to the Masonic then shame on you!!

The Masonic Hotel is an iconic establishment in Devonport built right by the sea!

It is the 'local'...a friendly watering hole where familiarity permeates the very walls. If only the walls could talk!

Upstairs at the Masonic is a great venue to have drinks and watch bands play. From well known bands to up and coming musicians you are sure to be entertained for a small entry fee. With all ages gigs during the day and 18+ gigs later at night it's relaxed and fun with friendly staff.
