Have been to Madam Woo in Takapuna twice now and I have to say that every thing I have eaten there just tastes absolutely delicious! The food is fresh, spicy, interesting and beautifully presented, and the drinks list is very good too. My kids (between 9 and 14) enjoyed it and are keen to go back. It's a shared plate style of eating, although you could order your own things if you wanted to. The staff are very helpful and give you good suggestions. This type of menu can end up being quite pricey when you have hungry mouths to feed, so is definitely a treat venue for us!

Madam Woo brings a much needed offering of well-priced, fresh and tasty cuisine to Takapuna. The menu has something for everyone including the kids that loved the chicken satay and we loved the chicken hawker rolls. The shredded duck salad and beef rendang were the other winners on our table. I would recommend getting there early as we arrived at 5pm on a Saturday and the kitchen doesn't serve until 5.30pm but we got the last table. The service was really good and although they were busy we didn't get left or feel rushed to free up the table for those waiting.

Opening weekend and you'd expect this place to have a few issues to iron out but really happy to say that the experience we enjoyed yesterday could not be faulted in the slightest. The hawker rolls are divine (sweet and sour fish well recommended) and the crispy pork belly simply melted away on taste. So much to like about Madam Woo and it's actually really well priced imho - can see this being a Takapuna favourite for a long time to come!
