Fun Japanese Izakaya type atmosphere. You can select Sake with variety of food to choose from the menu and share with others to taste this and that. Warm and friendly service and it is a place to go out with friends and have a enjoyable night.

I have been going to Kura for dinner before the theater for over five years and the food and service is always fantastic! Highly recommend you trying, but you have to book as always full.

Food is excellent and service is pretty good as a Japanese restaurant. The bar man recommended us some Sake and it was yummy. They are always busy and you need to make a reservation in advance but if you are only going for a few drinks at the bar then just turn up. You won't wait too long unless you go in the busiest period like 19.30. Avoid that time then should be ok.

I have always had great experiences at this restaurant.. until 3 weeks ago.. the quality of food has either taken a nose-dive since their best chef(s) had left, or I just caught them on a bad night. Nonetheless, the latest meal my partner and I had there was very disappointing, the seafood salad was small and messy, the soft-shell crab was oily and soggy and the aggedashi tofu was not fried properly!! Although reluctant, but I will return later to see it has become consistently bad. Atmosphere is still great though..

Kura Japanese Sake Bar has great food and great atmosphere. You can't go past the tofu salad, with Japanese dressing. The combination of tofu and different seaweeds is great. I have eaten at Kura Japanese Sake Bar twice so far and it is worth the trip from Clevedon into town just for dinner (50 min trip).
