One of the best indian restaurants in Auckland, I am hard pressed to choose between this guy and Oh Calcutta. The vibes are great, food awesome and service fast. Attention to details shows through.

I thought our group would give the Bollywood night at ivillage at Victoria Park a go for the end of Restaurant Month.

Everyone made a great effort to dress up in Indian attire and looked beautiful. Entertainment was great although music a little loud for a dinner.

The entrees were lovely in flavour especially the lamb kebab. There was a ridiculous long 2 hour wait for mains which would have had them loose points if they were on My Kitchen Rules. The curries were like those from any good curry house eg. Saagwala. I did like the Shahi Paneer Kofta which I had not had before.

Dessert hadn’t come out at 10am and I was too tired to wait. I think the service was friendly but the price of $60 was overpriced, what I had, you could get for around $35-40 at any Indian Restaurant. As it didn’t include a drink I can only think you were paying for the entertainment.
