The Gypsy could quite possible my favorite place in town! The atmosphere quite simply can't be beaten and, especially on a warm summers evening, I can think of fewer places I'd rather be!

Gypsy Tea Rooms (apparently GTR to those ponces in the know) is certainly very quirky, but on this occasion it was a bit on the quiet side. We headed down to the Gypsy on Friday night and were very surprised when we could get seats and a table so quickly. I had heard a lot about this place, mainly from my flatmate, so thought we'd check it out.


The staff are pretty funky, and very helpful, and I thought the interesting wine list was well priced for this area of town. Despite being quiet, (my flatmate assures me it's a 'work-night' type of place), we had a good time and I can see us spending a bit more of my time at the Gypsy Tea Rooms!

I finally ventured to the Gypsy Tea Room on Friday. After hearing heaps about it. I was eagar to see what the fuss is about.


Definitely had a good night, quiet but good. The vibe is low key and not as pretentious as some people described it. Liked the music and decor and had a couple of decent wines.
