Brilliant very friendly staff. Crazy party games. I went in alone and came out with 3 friends. Globe has a very cool environment and i felt very safe amongst the student and backpacker crowd. The funniest part of the night was where all the staff got up on the bar and danced to sexy and you know it or the toilet roll wrapping competition. Thanks Globe! Freddy
Unfriendly door staff, bar staff and patrons. It's filled with backpackers who are only out with one thing on their minds and the place just gives off a general feeling of dirtiness.
Not been for a while but unfriendly door & bar staff, too small, also got too techno for me.
the place to be if your looking for a good night, but make sure that you are there when the club starts going off!
NOT BIG ENOUGH!! BOUNCERS SUK!! LOVE THE POLEZ!!!! HARD.... CHEAP DRINKS... YUM YUM.....
went down to globe bar on a wednesday night was good especially for a wednesday night. only things that sucked was the bouncers. refusing entry to guys unless they bought ladies in. im sorry but what kinda rule is that!!! bouncers were awfully rude too :( and apart from how hot it gets while dancnig and the bouncers it was good =]
A group of us visited Globe Bar on Saturday night as part of a farewell get together for a friend travelling overseas. The door staff we encountered were EXTREMELY rude to say the very least. It was my first time I would have been to this club and now I will never go EVER! They abruptly refused entry to one of the ladies in our group because her handbag - to them - was too big! We were shocked and horrified! We would have spent a decent amount of money within the club and at the bar too. I have heard nothing nice about the door and bar staff at Globe. A sad shame the owners don't look into this for their own good! Never again.
i have a love-hate "relationship" with globe bar. the first few times we went there we found the atmosphere and music really good. But every visit after that the music became too techno and what made it the last straw was the bar staff. We went there and asked about the offer for the 2 for 1 drinks that we get for signing up on their site and the bar staff just looked at us and shrugged their shoulders as if we were just trying to get free drinks. Have a little respect for your customers and stop being so snobby - especially that girl that gave us that condescending look. After that experience we now have found a better club - LOUNGE which is far better and have bigger dancefloor with great music. we never looked back. Know your place.
