Went to Garrison on Sunday for a few beers with some friends. Great atmosphere, staff were very friendly and loved the outside garden bar. The had live music playing, they guy was great really enjoyed his music. Will definitely be back for a Sunday session with friends! Next time we will be eating as we saw a platter on another customers table and it looked really good!

I went in for lunch with my 2 daughters and 2 other adults. We ordered at the bar as required. I ordered 2 kids meals and my own. After the other 2 adults in my party plus another 3 tables around me had been served I then decided it was time to ask about the children's meals.I was told by the woman in charge that they were on their way, followed by the snide comment that it had only been 10-15 minutes - in fact it had been 25min.A further 10 minutes later a waitress presented with a childrens Nachos, she proceeded to say that the plate was very hot and to be careful.HOW STUPID do you have to be to put a plate that an adult can not touch without a towel in front of a child - a 3yr old. After making a point of this and tipping the nachos on a second plate the other 2 meals arrived. The childrens burger was smothered in Aoli sauce (not stated on the menu as included and not mentioned by wait staff when asked).I had to return the burger and ask that another one be cooked. All up what should have been a pleasant lunch was not!!The Nachos were terrible (for the price they ask) but the burgers were quite nice - once we got them..

We arrived and found that they did not have table service, which is ridiculous considering even coffee club next door has table service and they had tons of servers standing around idly. The staff was friendly. One of them was perhaps too friendly. She actually came up behind me when I was ordering at the bar and playfully nudged me by putting her knee into the back of my knee. I turned around and her face was inches away from mine. She just smiled and mumbled something and then moved away. I didn't mind cause she seemed to be just playing around but it was really weird and at the time I was thinking WTF.The food was not too bad. Big portions and tasty. But they probably need to time things better. Our starters came at different times and so did our mains so we just sat there waiting until we all had our food. It's an OK place but probably wont go back because why would you go somewhere and spend your hard earned cash just for an OK time?

Garrisons is a wonderful place to go with your friends for a nice quiet drink (even though it gets busy!!). The passionfuit and ginger pina colada is amazing, so fresh and so tasty.

The bar is so long but is awesome. Garrisons has an awesome environment and feels trendy and somewhere you want to keep going too.

Had the salt and pepper squid (without the fries) and was nice but a little overcooked. My friend's meal (hot turkey sandwich) was massive; very generous portions.

Garrisons a local out of Auckland Central - Love it

I always love going to Garrison with my fiance, who is addicted to the Garrison Kiwi burger! I always find the staff friendly and helpful even when the bar is very busy. The food is always served quickly and tastes great!

Was in Garrrison last night with a group of 6 friends for drinks and dinner. It was reasonably quiet but probably normal for a Monday night. Staff were friendly although 1 main was a bit late.

Most of the meals were okay but I'd have to say that the chicken Fett was very poor (Actually the worst I've ever had), completely tasteless, oily and with virtually no chicken in it. I'll stick to the burgers or steaks next time as they were larger and friends said they were tasty.

Went to Garrison on Saturday night and who was there but Shane Cameron! To add to that some of the Warriors were there too! Not a big rugby fan, but the All Blacks were playing, think they lost, but the atmosphere was really great, and got Shane's autograph!
We enjoyed some great cocktails, the bar staff were friendly and a couple were throwing bottles and mixing cocktails! Very entertaining!
We ordered some platters to share, they were lovely and went down well with all our friends.
We look forward to going back to Garrison again soon!

I am a pizza 'lover' and I have to say I really love the Hawaiian Pizza at the 'Garrison Public House' in Mt Wellington. The ingredients are fresh and you can see the chef cook it while you wait. Their Pizza's are crispy and delicious.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is always pump'n.

I love the place too, as I get asked for Identification before entering. Its good for the age ego.

Great atmosphere, good food (pizza is fab and the seafood platters are highly recommended), friendly staff (mostly), clean toilets (trust me that's a good thing), very spacious... the bar tenders could spend less time talking to their friends and serve paying customers though!

Was in Garrisons on saturday night (12th August) with a 8 girl friends, was really busy and we hadnt booked but the staff member on the door was very helpful in helping us find a table amoungst the rugby crowd!
We shared some platters and pizzas and had some fantastic cocktails. Really enjoyed ourselves even though we are not rugby fans!
Will be back for some cocktails and dinner again!

Arrived at 11.20 for breakfast. Took the better part of 10 minutes to take our order due to mental fumbling, incompetence and the fact the bargirl seemed to be somwehere between hungover and stoned. Would have left by midday if it wasn't for the fact we had to pre pay. Barely adequate food arrived at 12.15. Place was not even half full, can only imagine what they would have been like on a busy day. Would only go back if there was a change in ownership/management/staff. A shame because its a pretty nice venue.

Nice venue - but the barstaff were not. What a surly, unfriendly bunch they were on Sat night. Couldn't even make eye contact when they took your money. And $13 for a glass of warm wine!! On the + side the doormen were really nice - lots of smiles, and welcoming. A few more of them behind the bar and I would go back.
