The music is a cool alternative to other offerings in downtown Auckland, providing a mix of hip-hop and techno. The doorstaff are cool, and the drink menu is pretty standard. Some of the patrons need an attitude check, which leads me to believe maybe the doorstaff should be a little more selective about who they let in.

A good variety of music - hip hop, drum and bass, a bit of techno. Something for everyone.
Fu Bar is a good place to end your night as its probably the latest open bar in the city - some nights are open 'til 6.30. Friendly bar staff as well. Fu Bar is definitely worth checking out if you're in Queen street.

It may be dark and somewhat shifty but Fu Bar more than makes up for its lacking decor with its fantastic line up of underground music. Hip hop, breaks, drum 'n' bass - local and international acts every week. Word to the wise - this is not a 'collared shirt' kind of place.
