It's upmarket but well worth every dime. Came to Everybody's with quite a large group during the week and staff there treated us to a great time. Can't recommend Everybody's highly enough.
Everybody's restaurant is absolutely beautiful, we sat in the courtyard but a night when the upper level is open I would love to sit in one of the curtained booths. The service was mostly good but when we asked for a drink or water it did take a while for it to come out. I don't think they were particularly busy as upstairs was not open and there were a few waiters working. However the food was AMAZING. I had Venison, pickled red cabbage, califlower, green beans, hazelnut with chocolate. Presentation was lovely and venison cooked perfectly. A great combination. My friend had Duck liver & cognac parfait with brioche and pear chutney. I tried it and it was melt in your mouth mellow and dreamy on warm brioche. For my main I had 'Plate of Pig' - pig cooked 3 ways with savoy cabbage, lardons, turnip cream, apple mustard and calvados sauce. Seriously it was the best dish of the night and out of our group of 9 it was more liked. The lamb wasn't the best and one person said the duck was salty. The steak ok. For dessert I had Warm chocolate & liquorice moelleux with sour cherries & milk sorbet. The cake had the amazing warm gooey centre and the chocolate mousse was dreamy. The carraf the wine came in was a talking point, I wanted one for home and the Pinot Gris I had was lovely. I am not always the best at choosing the best dishes on the menu and often look at others plates with envy wishing I got what they got. But on this night it seems I got it right for all 3 courses. I recommend going to this restaurant. Make it a romantic night and get a booth.
Won a dinner for four through the Sunday Star Times. Service as appaulling. The waiter obviously resented having to host competition winners. Very disappointing.
excellent dining experience at Everybody's last Friday. The waiter that served our group was a charming to say the least. Knowledgeable with recommendations forthcoming and quite a dry sense of humour - fantastic.
It really is a great setting and the food divine. Everybody's right up there with Auckland's best at the moment in my opinion.
Everybody's is brilliant. I've been here twice now for dinner and haven't been disappointed. Friendly staff that know what they're talking about both in terms of wine and food. I'll be back for sure!
I had high expectations of Everybody's, but was let down. Went on a Friday night. They were busy, and the atmosphere just seemed chaotic. It was more like a bar than a bistro/restaurant, and I couldn't hear my partner over the music and din of the crowd. Service was lacking and the food was only just average for the prices. The waitress kept looking around at the other tables even when she was talking to us; she just looked distracted, uninterested, and unprofessional. I will not be returning.
Everybody's is such a fantastic find in downtown Auckland. Service chatty despite always being pretty busy and what I really like about the place is that it's one bar that is actually well-lit at any time. It makes a real difference for sure. I'd be back to Everybody's in a heartbeat.
Had drinks at Everybody's with some work colleagues, we usually go to a different places in downtown, they seem to have a great selection of beers and good bar snacks. Might try the restaurant at Everybody's - have heard good things.
