Every star is earned, every single time we come back for more. I wish there was no such thing as too much of a good thing, because if I had my way I'd eat and drink at Cable Bay every day. One hallmark of a great restaurant is to not just have a great meal and experience, but to have these things consistently. We sometimes spend up to 5 hours here eating, drinking and having the best times with family and friends. We have never had a bad or even mediocre experience here, every box is ticked as you would expect from a truly 5 star restaurant. Then there is the wine, but Ill leave it to you to find out how bloody good it is! This place is just too perfect, it almost feels as if it should somehow illegal because it leaves you feeling so good!

The boss finally splashed and put us on a ferry ovcer to Waiheke for the day. We had a tour round and ended up at cable bay for a pre arranged lunch. Being a booked outing with a sizeable group we were welcomed very nicely by staff and placed at a table with amazing views. The wine was understandably outstanding and the food was of great quality.
