I've never had such bad service in a bar before. The staff looked so unhappy and it showed in their service by being so rude and unwelcoming. They had no product knowledge and understandably you specialise in beer but when also stock a full bar of spirits and someone orders and pays for a French martini you do not give them a different drink and tell them you've given the closest thing in the bar menu and you won't change it and walk away..?!! After asking many times for what was paid for rather than something I didn't want I was offered a daiquiri.. Then was given a caprioska that tasted like petrol. I was with a party of 30 on Saturday night and after that fiasco we ended up going elsewhere and had a great time. You do not take someone's money and put on a show like that. Won't ever go back to Brew on Quay again!!!! Over priced and Over Rated. If you don't know how to utilize your bar, don't stock it or have staff on a busy night that are rude and useless.

The best selection of beers i have seen in ages, i think they have over 100 different types. This is the one reason to come to Brew on Quay.

Good - good options for beer than most bars. Although I would still prefer Belgian beer cafe
Bad - worst food I have eaten ever. I was hoping I don't get sick the next day

Very bad bar-tending.

Overall. Will not return.

I really rate this place. I've been there a couple of times both after work on a Friday, and its been packed almost overflowing onto the pavement and also in the weekend for a quick drink or last minute Sunday session. Everytime the staff have been great, service has been good and enjoyed the atmosphere. keep it up!

Outstanding addition to the Auckland pub scene.
Best range of beers in town, great ambiance, excellent service. Can't wait to go back.
