Casual cool is an understatement. The Britomart Country Club is the place to be before (and especially) after that Vector Arena gig. It's a bit more of a hike than the others on the list, so make sure you drag yourself away from the putting green nice and early.

Mexico is the new kid on the Britomart block but is already getting some rave reviews (check out our own review). Mexican food and beer (or tequila) - certainly the perfect warm-up act for any concert.

An Auckland institution and for good reason. Northern Steamship is perhaps the closest bar to Vector Arena but be warned, it does get packed pretty early on. Recession - what recession?

Tyler St Garage is home to Auckland's very best rooftop bar so if you're keen to people-watch the revellers as they head to Vector Arena, this venue is the place to do it. Oh, and grab a hot dog...they're good!
