Wowsers, that barhopper review was harsh! someone was having a bad day there...We went along to the Taco Truck event at Barrio this Sunday just gone, I think its a monthly occurence? anyhow, the food was AMAZING and only 8 bucks for 2 Tacos! prepared right in front of us in the courtyard. loved the Coopers Beer on tap, and a pretty good wine selection for the wife.have popped into Barrio on a few evenings and always found it a great place to hang out and lounge about with friends.keep up the good work Barrio crew!

Barrio bar is a waste of space on Ponsonby Road. Terrible service, rude bartenders and an even more unpleasant manager. The only reason I am giving Barrio one star is because this website won't let me give zero.

My advice to you, go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Wow, what a scathing review! and I suggest no body pays any attention to it. We regularly go to Barrio and have held about 3 parties there. The bar staff have been awesome and the manager very accommodating. Many top DJs play there, and the vibe is always good.
One of the great things about Barrio is that it attracts 'real' people, so maybe that's why your experience wasn't so enjoyable.

I pop into Barrio last Thursday night and was stoked to find Bevan Keys behind the turntables. Things just kept getting better when I ordered. The wine list at Barrio is simple and surprisingly cheap and the squid was melt in your mouth. I can't wait to go back there.
