Had a large group of us travel from South Auckland to try out their all-you-can-eat ribs. Not a good start when they stuffed up the drinks order, claiming one of the drinks was definitely cider from the cider tap, only to find out they gave us something from the tap next to it.
Then the ribs came out - not too bad, everybody seemed to enjoy them. Although, after the second plate full, the waitress informed us that they had run out of ribs.
They tried to make up for it by offering some pizzas, only we didn't go there for pizza, but we were still hungry. We might as well have gone to Dominos.
Then when we left, they tried to charge us for the wrong drink they served us. Didn't go down too well.
Definitely won't be going there again.
shame cannot give no stars! Went there last night to all-you-can-eat-pizza - what a have! Got meatlovers first - smear of tomato sauce with overcooked chicken, hard lumps of mince, no sign of bacon, and one minute piece of salami covered in cheese. Decided to try another and got chicken tandoori - some overcooked tandoori chicken, onion with the same smear of tomato sauce underneath, and no sign of cashews. Take my advice -give this a miss! Worst pizzas ever encountered.
One star to many. Travelled all the way from Botany to eat and watch the Crusaders v Bulls game at Albany Sports Bar. The ribs was ok, cooked not grilled, not even a close resemblance of the picture. Then they changed the channel to the Warriors game as there were more people wanting to watch that.
This after I called to book and specifically asked if they were going to show the Crusaders game and were told βYESβ. Pathetic customer service, will never see me again, waste of time and money.
One star is still too much in my opinion. I had booked and paid for some rooms in this bar a month in advance for my engagement party only to get told two days before the event that they are not going to keep to their side of the agreement. Firstly they lied to us saying they were double booked then the story changed within 24hours and they then said we couldn't have it since we weren't buying their food (which we were told a month prior that we could bring our own). Luckily we could book a different much more helpful place with such short notice.
Had my partners 21st at the Albany Sports Bar.
Free venue hire, as long as we did the food through them.
Food was basic, yet tasty - exactly what we asked for
Dropped in with the mates on Friday night, cool, they had a band, rocking it, didn't stay too long but we'll come back as there's not really many other live music bars up this far on the North Shore.
Sunday Roasts are primo!! Head down here with the whole family from time to time and we love it!!!
Good bar to catch up with mates!! We always head to Albany Sports Bar before a Harbour Home game!
