After more than 50 years trams have returned to the streets of Auckland. With the opening of the Wynyard Quarter a whole area of Auckland's waterfront has been transformed and now includes a bridge to the Viaduct Harbour, the new
Viaduct Events Centre, Silo Park, the
North Wharf entertainment and dining precinct and, of course, the heritage tram line.
The Auckland Dockline Tram goes in a loop around the Wynyard Quarter stopping at Halsey Street, Gaunt Street, Daldy Street and Jellicoe Street. It will enable riders to enjoy the sights of the new Jellicoe Street developments, as well as the heritage features of the marine industry in the area. It will be a thread connecting the entire Quarter as it begins to redevelop over the next few years.
Open 9am to 9pm from September to March and 9am to 6pm from April to August, the Auckland Dockline Trams run at 7 minute intervals and your all day tickets give you the flexibility to enjoy Auckland’s vibrant attractions at their best.
