You could try Fernielea out in coatesville or The Library is a good place out in Onehunga. Not many options down-town but Fusion in Ponsonby has a good sandpit/play area for the rugrats...good luck!

Yeah, Fernielea is brilliant for kids - cool playground, inside toys for when its wet and good kids menu. Heard there was a good one in Mairangi Bay but not sure what it's called.

Sp'getti in Browns Bay was great for kids! Superb food but may pay to book in advance.
