Just wondering- is it a must to see avatar in 3 d or can you get away with a 2 d version and still get the wow factor everyones raving about. Anyone seen avatar in both formats?

have only seen the 3 d version ( at IMAX here in auckland) but I think with a movie like that you have to go the whole hog to do it justice!
I'd imagine they'd be running screenings fir the best part of 6 months or so!
